If card processing contracts typically run three to five years with around twelve months' notice, the date a company announced its current processor is a rough guide to when it is next up. These are fintechs and digital banks in your regions that announced a processor between 2021 and 2023.

The aim: a steady supply of really good prospects, reached at the moment they're choosing, without the generic outreach you get every day.
Signals tell us when. Situations tell us who is in the market and what to say. Every account lands in one or two of these, so each group gets one relevant message instead of a generic pitch.
| Situation | Why it matters to Tribe | The result we'd lead with |
|---|---|---|
| Live product, no cards yet wallets, remittance, lenders, payroll, B2B payments, crypto | Cards are the obvious next product. Earliest possible moment | We might be able to get your card live in 8–12 weeks, so card revenue starts this year instead of next. |
| Cards through a banking-as-a-service provider | At scale they want margin and control: own licence, direct processor | We might be able to help you run cards as your own programme, keeping more of the margin on every card and setting your own roadmap. |
| Issuer or sponsor in trouble | Forced migration, with a deadline | We might be able to get your cardholders back on a working card within weeks. |
| Merger or acquisition | Two card set-ups, one owner | We might be able to put both businesses' cards on one platform: one integration, one cost base, one roadmap. |
| Own licence, processor deal 3+ years old | Renewal window | Before you sign for another term, we might be able to get you onto a platform where new card products go live in weeks, not months. |
| On a legacy processor | New products are slow and costly to launch | We might be able to get your next card product live in 8–12 weeks instead of a year. |
| Live in two or more regions | Likely several processors; one stack across markets | We might be able to run every market on one integration, the way UGLYCASH runs its Visa programme across 15 markets. |
| Debit only, credit or commercial cards next | The current set-up may not carry the new card type | We might be able to get your credit card live on the same platform as your debit cards, without adding a second processor. |
| A new domestic scheme to support Jaywan in the UAE, mada in Saudi | Every issuer there has to certify | We might be able to take the scheme work off your team, so the rollout doesn't hold up the rest of your roadmap. |
| PSPs taking acquiring in-house | Need acquirer processing, gateway, SoftPOS | We might be able to get your acquiring live in about two months, the way OnerWay's was. |
A merger, an issuer problem, a fresh licence with cards still ahead, a new card product, or a processor deal reaching its renewal years. Each gets a message written for that company and that moment.
For most accounts nobody knows the exact date. A short, relevant note keeps Tribe in front of them, so when their window opens you're a name they already know. Across a few thousand accounts, some are at the right moment each month, and the replies tell us who.
Replies, new signals and engagement move accounts from B to A. Your team spends its time on the ones that are actually in a window.
Three or four lines: their situation, the result we might be able to get them, and a light question to see if it's worth exploring. Enough to pique interest; the full pitch happens on the call. No "I noticed you're doing great things in partnerships".
Hi {first name},
Memo Bank launched corporate cards on Enfuce in 2022, so I'm guessing that contract comes up for review at some point next year.
If so, we might be able to get you onto a platform where new card products go live in weeks rather than months, before you commit to another term.
Is that on your radar, and worth exploring?
